Blog vs. WIKI

What are blogs and Wikis?  We often confuse blogs and Wikis to be similar but in reality, they are generally far from similar.  A blog is a regularly updated website or webpage.  A blog is usually run and updated by either an individual or a group of individuals.  A blog is written in an informal or conversational text style.  Wikis is an online composition system that allows users to edit collaboratively and communally edit text and these texts can be edited by anyone who visits the wiki. Blogs and wikis are similar because they are edited collaboratively.  However, Blogs are more run by a specific group or individual people, and wikis are open for anyone to edit.  Blogs can be used for collaboration to reach a wider audience and increase trust in one's brand.  Wikis are also used for collaborative purposes as well as learning resources where information is distributed in a workplace to facilitate workplace learning. https://www.create.n...

Social Networking: A Purposeful Loss of Privacy;

Hello Fellow readers! For my research paper, I decided to write about how social has impacted our loss of privacy.  As we all know we live in a world where social media plays a huge part in our daily lives.  Most people prefer to be incognito and remain private about what goes on in their day today.  We have seen the new age of people profiting from having a huge social media following, social media users with a high count of followers are known as either Instagram, Facebook, youtube, twitter famous.  Users with a high social media presence are benefiting from having social capital meaning that being highly active on social media is how they make a living.
