Hello Fellow bloggers, As we have been living through a new era of advanced technology have you ever thought about the next thing? I assume that everything new that we have seen over the years as made a huge impact and is still being widely used.  I don't know if there will be anything new nor revolutionary that will be seen but I have seen that more people gravitate more towards audio or video content because of reading becoming a little dull and time-consuming.  Personally, I enjoy listening to spoken or filmed media contents because it is just more direct and organic.  The next media will heavily rely on social media and video/ audio content.  The next media will have to be live and instantly accessible.  Take notice that social media use and consumption has increased since people started being in isolation.

WIKI So Far!!!

To contribute to our class wiki it was tough finding something that I was interested in I remembered that I was very passionate about investing and generating passing income.  I contributed by speaking of a trading platform called We bull which is free to use like all online trading platforms since it wasn't among the others that were already there. Please feel to take a look at that wiki and learn something new. 01:46, 24 February 2020  ( diff  |  hist )    (+317) ‎    New Media in Investing  ‎  ( → ‎ Incorporating New Media within Investments )   (current)

Privacy

Hello fellow readers, today I wanted to talk about the impact that new media has had on Privacy and Confidentiality.  Privacy loss  will constantly be a rising issue as we constantly share even the most private information on new media platforms.  People should be aware that companies who own new media platforms don’t take complete responsibility for when third party interaction occurs on their sites.   There is no doubt that online activity will continue to rise incrementally as well as the use of data collection from the parties offering free to use services on new media platforms in exchange for personal information that will be used as a commodity.  P rivacy is very important to have, it also very important to be aware of how vulnerable we are when we publicly share our information on new media platforms of today.   It is very important to raise awareness about privacy loss because the society which we live in today is driven by everyone havin...

Blog Advice

Dear Baruch Administration, I have seen and observed the new media outlets which you have been using to connect to both students and faculty at Baruch College.  Although your outreach to students has been very effective, I would like to advise some tips on how to further improve your media reach.  There are many creative ways I would suggest boosting media use.  First, I would like to suggest reducing the amount of content shared to students, some contents which aren't relevant enough for the students to engage in.  They should invest in hiring students who do influencer marketing outside of school because they keep up with trends in the real world and can't help create relatable content for students. In addition to that, these students will get experience working with the school has a client; they will be able to leverage those experiences when they graduate.  Last but not least, USG should focus on being unique and authentic on how they connect with Baruch...

Fostering Creativity

Creativity is a way of expression.  Creativity is using imagination and inventiveness to produce artistic work.  There are many ways of expressing where one could direct their imaginative ideas.  In the past, we used to express our creativity towards music, writing,  art.  Over the years creativity has evolved and shifted towards new ways of expression.  I think that today's media platforms such as SoundCloud, Instagram, Youtube, Vine, Facebook are used to promote people who share their creative talents with the world.  If we look at today's mainstream celebrities of our generation who became famous either through posting funny skits or making music on Soundcloud.  You can always see that their creativity is used for social media marketing. For example, it is stated that in  (“The Most Effective Role of Social Media in Creativity – According to Brands, Agencies and Publishers”) that genuine creativity will always be the driving force for succ...

Modeling Reality with Virtual Worlds

Hello Fellow readers, I have been conducting research and observing where society is going with newly made innovative technologies.  The big talk of the town nowadays is Augmented Reality based technologies that will have unlimited possibilities in a virtual perspective.  There are many different ways where virtual worlds are used today.  The most common ones that I have experience using is virtual development environments for coding purposes, Virtual campus tours back when I add first started applying for colleges and for gaming online. I could say that there are a lot of pros with the use of virtual worlds because it gives users the possibility to either work from home, improve in communication with people forming new relationships, and provides users with such an amazing experience where they are likely to come to it and the cons with virtual worlds is that that the technology is very costly, still in development because the technology has not been accepted as ...
